Industrial production quantities raise by 1.80 percent in first six months of 2025

(MENAFN) Jordan’s industrial production quantities increased by 1.80% in the first half of 2025, with the general index reaching 87.77 points compared to 86.21 points in the same period last year, the Department of Statistics (DoS) reported.

The manufacturing sector saw a 1.92% rise in production quantities, while electricity production grew by 3.04%. In contrast, the mining and quarrying sector declined by 2.47% over the same period.

For June 2025, the index reached 90.07 points, up 0.43% from June 2024. Month-to-month comparisons showed manufacturing output increasing 2.16%, mining and quarrying up 0.58%, and electricity production rising 6.14% from May. Sectoral fluctuations were noted, with mining and quarrying up 2.68% from June 2024, while electricity declined 9.30% year-on-year for the same month.
