Brazil Voices Alarm Over US Military Actions Near Venezuela
The Pentagon has positioned several warships, including the largest US aircraft carrier, in the Caribbean close to the South American country.

“I am very concerned about the military deployment that the United States has stationed in the Caribbean Sea,” Lula told reporters at the G20 Summit in South Africa on Sunday, according to a news agency.
Washington is reportedly preparing to initiate operations against Venezuela in the near future, a media outlet reported on Sunday, citing unnamed US officials.
Initial efforts would likely involve covert missions, with the potential removal of President Nicolas Maduro being considered, the news agency said, citing its sources.
Maduro has repeatedly denied US accusations of drug trafficking, arguing that Washington is using these claims as a justification for a regime-change strategy and an attempt to seize resources.
