Iranian Missile Attacks Cause Eleven Injuries in Central Israel

(MENAFN) At least eleven people sustained minor injuries in a fresh wave of Iranian missile attacks on central Israel, according to reports on Tuesday.

Media coverage indicated that five individuals were wounded at two separate locations in central Israel. Among them, a woman in her 40s suffered moderate injuries from a shockwave, while four others sustained light injuries caused by glass fragments and shockwaves, as stated by reports.

Damage was reported to a building in Bnei Brak, apparently caused by debris from interceptor missiles. Shrapnel also fell in Ramat Gan following launches from Iran, and several vehicles caught fire in Rosh HaAyin. Military estimates suggest that one of the missiles carried a fragmentation warhead, scattering debris over a wide area, according to reports.

Sirens warning of rocket and missile attacks were sounded across central Israel, with alerts later extending to the Galilee and Haifa regions in northern Israel.

Regional tensions have surged since the US and Israel conducted large-scale attacks on Iran on Saturday, reportedly killing nearly 800 people, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In retaliation, Tehran has launched drone and missile strikes targeting Israel and Gulf countries hosting US military assets.
